Site safety monitoring by wireless routers

First, the project background

With the continuous advancement of society, the concept of safe production is deeply rooted in people’s hearts, and people’s requirements for safe production are getting higher and higher. In the construction industry where accidents occur frequently, how to ensure the safety of construction workers and the safety of building materials and equipment on the construction site are the primary concerns of construction unit managers.

Due to the complex environment of the construction site and the complex personnel area, the safety management of the environmental restrictions is imperfect and the safety awareness of some construction workers is weak. In order to further improve the safety management of the site, the project manager decided to introduce the monitoring technology to the site. Through the wireless remote monitoring system, the manager can grasp the construction progress on the site, monitor the on-site operation situation in real time, and know whether the on-site construction personnel standardize the construction. At the same time, the safety of construction materials on site is guaranteed.

With this in mind, we designed a wireless device to complete the project layout for a construction site tower crane monitoring project to achieve wireless communication network erection of the entire project.

Second, project needs

After we surveyed the construction site and surrounding conditions, we found the following problems:

There are many functional divisions between the buildings around the construction site and the monitoring center, and there is a certain distance. It is not convenient to lay the cables, so the wireless bridges are used for transmission.

Due to the special nature of the construction site environment, the wired layout cannot break the limitations of the environment, thus it is decided that only wireless network transmission can be adopted.

There are many construction tower cranes on the construction site, and the wired layout project is huge, and the manpower is time-consuming, which will affect the progress of the project.

Under the premise of stable video transmission, the cost of wired transmission is high, and the cost of using wireless layout is more economical.

The maintenance equipment is convenient in the later stage, and it is convenient to increase the monitoring point.
